Anxiety Support

When anxiety starts to take over

Anxiety can show up in many different ways: constant worrying, feeling on edge, overthinking or a sense that something isn’t quite right. Some of my clients describe it as a feeling of having forgotten something or not getting something done.

For some people, it affects sleep. For others, it shows up during the day and begins to limit confidence, productivity or ability to enjoy life. However it appears for you, it can feel unrelenting and exhausting.

How I can help

I offer a calm, supportive space where we can gently explore what’s driving your anxiety and begin to make sense of it together. We’ll work collaboratively to understand your triggers and patterns, reduce racing thoughts and develop practical ways to feel calmer and more in control. I use a combination of CBT and hypnotherapy to help you not just understand anxiety but experience change.

What sessions are like

Clients often tell me they feel relieved to have a space where they can share and explore their fears and worries. My approach is warm, non-judgemental and patient. We’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable, taking small, achievable steps that build over time.

Practical tools you’ll learn

My goal is to give you the tools and confidence to manage worries and anxiety long after our work together has finished. I work in a structured, practical way, focusing on steady, meaningful progress rather than prolonged treatment. Depending on your individual patterns and triggers, we will explore and practise a range of approaches, including simple relaxation techniques you can use in everyday life, ways of responding differently to anxious or unhelpful thoughts and strategies for building calmer, more supportive habits.

Alongside this, you will learn self-hypnosis as a way of reinforcing change and supporting a more settled mind and body. Hypnosis, when used in a therapeutic setting, is an evidence-based approach that has been shown to be effective for a range of difficulties, including sleep problems.

Flexible support

Anxiety sessions are offered on a flexible basis. Some people come for a few sessions to work through a specific issue, while others prefer ongoing support for a period of time. We’ll decide together what feels right for you.

You don’t have to manage anxiety on your own. With the right support, it’s possible to feel calmer, more confident and more in control again.

Feel free to get in touch with me via my contact page to arrange a free 30-minute consultation to talk through the issues and decide how we can work together in a way that feels right for you.

Reviews for Anxiety Therapy

“The goals and tools were very clearly defined and I felt 100% comfortable talking to Sarah about how I’ve been feeling. It’s not often we get an opportunity to take the time to reflect on things that are troubling us. It’s easy to just carry on and hope that things will get better. The sessions helped me stop and reflect on different ways I can manage my feelings. I feel much calmer and more positive than I have for a long time.”
